Petuum Statement on the letter from the US Congress House of Representatives’ Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party
We have become aware that Petuum Inc. was mentioned in the letter from US Congress House of Representatives’ Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party to the U.S. Department of Commence dated January 3, 2024.
We strongly reject in its entirety any indication and implication of any direct or indirect involvement in illicit technology transfer and/or any connection with the Chinese government, its defense industry, and its research and commercial organizations.
As a U.S.-based technology company, Petuum and its founders and employees are fully dedicated to strict compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and orders of the US government (including stringent export controls on critical technology), leaving no room for compromise. Any suggestions to the contrary are both unfounded and irresponsible.
